Marie Skogvang Stork is from Bodø, Norway. She lives in both Oslo and Bodø, working as a freelance actress and writer. She is trained from the national Nord Acting and Artistic Production ('23) and the Film programme at Westerdals Oslo Act ('17).
With a background in film and dance, she is interested in the intersection between physical presence and text. She writes for both stage and screen and won Best Pitch at the Norwegian Short Film Convention in 2021 for “The Municipal Election.”
As a performer, she has in recent years appeared as “the Dodo” in “Dead as a Dodo” by Wakka Wakka in the US (New York, Chicago), Norway, South Korea, and France. She also portrays “the Big Sister” in“Ash Cloud” by Karoline Una Moen, as well as “Brit” in Tomas Espedal’s “Marie min.”
She does not shy away from the darker aspects of storytelling and believes it is important to encounter and process the full spectrum of what it means to be human, also when writing for children.
